How can film/video content positively impact a parish?

Film can turn a parish from a place people attend into a story people belong to. A food-bank story can awaken compassion; a migrant’s testimony can create belonging; a young person’s journey can inspire service; an elder’s memory can preserve identity. But parish storytelling goes deeper: it gives a face to the mission, a voice to the unseen, and a memory to the community. It transforms statistics into people, activities into meaning, and spectators into participants. When a parish tells its stories, it is not merely recording what it does—it is telling people who they are, what they value, and why their lives belong to one another.
