Dignity would attach to doing well, not just to status. We'd care for things again because we'd know who made and repaired them.

What might become possible is a workplace where people no longer feel like replaceable inputs, but recognized contributors to a common human project. Work could restore dignity, strengthen solidarity, and connect individual effort to shared purpose. When we see the person behind the task, work stops being merely a transaction and becomes a contribution to the kind of society we choose to build together.
