The risks here are high. Ultimately, the implicit and explicit stories that children internalize become key structures within their personality functioning throughout the rest of their lives. If these stories aren't promoting prosocial morals (good, true, and beautiful stores) they risk introducing personality structures that are narcissistic and disorganized in nature, and that leads to a significant amount of unnecessary suffering for individuals, families, and society.
